I keep coming back to this picture. I just stare and stare and stare, until I think the eyes are moving with me. It's horrific and mesmerizing.
Got any more?
David - this guy -
'Danny O'Day' a vaudevillean remnant who tried to make a name for himself in the 1950s with his pal Farfel the dog by shilling for Nestles Chocolate drink on TV - but was eventually reduced to selling himself in the Magic Shop on the main drag of Disneyland, USA (California, baby!)
- anyhoo ... Danny magically appears on my home-made Christmas cards every year.
The rest of the year he spends quietly sitting in a corner of my living room.
But what's most scary - is that at night when he thinks no one is around, I've seen him up and walking around the house.
Sometimes even muttering to himself - without a human hand or glass of water near him!
On occassion, I've seen him thumbing the sharp edge on the blade of the kitchen knife I normally use for chopping vegetables, skinning the fat off meat and opening the tops off beer bottles and finger tips.
But I've also seen him pat the head of a sleeping Great Dane who doesn't seem to mind his nocturnal activities.
... I'll probably post the whole series of Christmas cards next Yule. Thanks for the suggestion.
And lots of luck to you and yours.
