The Inevitable WALLY COX Post
Lots in the news this week in Hicksville, Ohio.
Let's see, there's the April Fools edition of the Gazette, the Don Imus thing, the Hicksville Knights coach getting acquited of drunk driving despite blowing over the limit two times over a multi-hour period --- on the very same day that the provincial government lays down new rules about getting tough on drunk drivers (the moral here? Always hire a good lawyer.) Oh, and Belinda Stronach taking her volleyball and going home since for the time being there's no chance she can get elected President of this country. Not until Hilary sets the precedent anyway. And don't even get me started on the ever-green politco Liz May making that deal with the Devil of Dull, Stephie Dion.
So much to talk about but you've heard it all before and I don't really feel like getting into it and so let's just sum up the last few days with the word of the week - hypocrisy.
Blogs aren't just for ranting or spouting out uninformed opinions, they're also for sharing - so now let's have some fun. There's no reason that this blog can't still be cutting-edge and Now. To the left and above is Wally Cox in a 35-year-old photo from the set of TV's Lost in Space, in which Wally shared most of his guest-star scenes with young Billy (now pronounced 'Bill') Mumy (now pronounced 'Moomy,')
Anyway, the reason for the Wally photo is as an introduction to his recording from over half a century ago of the traditional English drinking song, Tavern in the Town. Wally put this out as a single in 1952 at the height of his fame as TV's Mr. Peepers and sang the song in a mix of yodeling and two-part harmony but someone on YouTube has set it to some of that modern dance music that the kids are so into these days - as opposed to us squares.
And so, as a proud card-carrying member of the Hip-Hop nation, it gives me great pleasure to present to you - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk9siDUjEvg

That was mind-blowing how the old dancing folks turn into hip young dancing folks. And the special effects - incredible!
The weird part; I just happened to catch a few minutes of the old Kurt Russell movie The Barefoot Executive on the tube last night. And Wally Cox is in that movie!
Crazy - 'The Barefoot Executive,' eh? I'm guessing it's a Disney thing more than you just being a fan of the Joe Flynn/Wally Cox comedy team.
Swear to Xenu - I was simply flipping channels last night and hit upon the last 10 minutes of the flick on TCM(?). I'll watch any of those old Joe Flynn classics. Good times, good times.
Sonny, did you catch that in the paper this morning in Shelia Copp's column? Shelia stated because she was a woman in politics, a national newspaper printed a picture of her twat for the whole world to see. Which paper, and how they got a hold of picture of her beaver was never mentioned.
I read many papers every-day, and I don't recall seeing a picture of Shelia's vagina being in any of them. I am sure that would have some women's group in the country doing the dance of, "kill the male."
I know you read the paper's. Do you recall ever starring over your coffee cup in the morning and having Shelia's monkey winking back at you?
Honey Pot, no I haven't had that experience and thank goodness. I have a part-time job as a gynecologist and some days I'm up to my elbows in work as it is.
Not certain, but I'm guessing the "newspaper" she conveniently forgot to mention by name was probably "Frank" magazine. If so, that kinda puts the whole thing in perspective.
You got to love that Lizzie-May, hahahahahaha
"There’s something wrong with Jack Layton if he’d rather open up discussions with the Taliban than the Green party," Ms. May said.
Ms. May said Wednesday that it reminds her of what the NDP was saying before the London North Centre byelection.
"One can remember the first words from the NDP candidate were that the Green party would not be a factor in this byelection," she said. "She came in fourth. I came in second. Case closed." The ChronicleHerald.ca

Honey Pot - who was that fourth-place NDP candidate for London North-Centre anyway? I've forgotten her name.
Is the NDP even running a candidate in LNC this time around? Or are they just running scared.
